JN ARTWORX update...

Hey everyone I still love art and I have been creative in different ways in the last few months. Here is s mixed media project that I worked on with James Scolari this year. The painting is called "Perspectives" a piece I have been working on for about 5 years.  What do you see?

I had the opportunity to work on a few projects with Tracy Lee Stum.  I met Tracy back in 2009 through a friend and since that time she has been helpful and supportive with my art adventures.  I have learned a lot and have been inspired in a short time working with Tracy and her awesome assistant Tobie.
Tracy Lee is an amazing artist and you can get to know all about her at www.tracyleestum.com
She rocks!

Its going to be a productive year coming up 2012.  Stay tuned for news on a creative experience with JN ARTWORX.  I am looking forward to teaching art to kids starting in January.  I will be continuing to work with other artists on upcoming projects.  Looks like I will be taking a trip to The New York International Expo for ART.

Here are some of the people I have been working with that have helped me be more creative in all that I have done this year...

ART IS RAD

So here I am enjoying this nice weather we have in Southern California, went to San Diego last week saw some friends, did some exploring, worked on some art with a  wonderful designer Michaela Moryskova) Ceo of Skova Soul on a project, sent out some of my hand painted hats to a few girls on the LPGA tour that I will expand on later and then came back to Ventura to work on another project with a photographer who has inspired me! (James Scolari).  I am continuously meeting new people and watching the people that I know work hard on what they love to do.  I love art and as an artist myself I know that Art is Rad.  I know that it would be rad if I had a little bit of info on everyone that I know or meet.  The information about these people would be a way to inspire others in a positive way and to  have awareness  that artists are many people who are creative in all aspects of life. The last concert or Show I went to was at Bombay's in Ventura.  Bloody Mary Morning a band reunited over the last few years.  Their music is awesome! Their show is just one example of many artists to talk about.  I'm sure they will be written about in my blog soon.  Check them out they have songs on i - tunes...

Ventura Art Walk I will be at The Bell Arts space so come by and say hi...  JN

I will be featuring creative artists and business people wherever I go.. I will be heading out to Portland OREGON in August to do a few events and I'm sure I will meet some new people who will participate on the Art is Rad project.  I would like to raise money in the future to provide art classes for kids. I will have t shirts and stickers, and hats soon because I love t shirts and hatz!

Its about living, learning and moving forward for me.  I love networking and I believe this is a way to connect people for  positive movement.

JN ARTWORX.........ArT

Hollywood Playhouse

Here is my art on display at The Hollywood Playhouse.  This was a great event for some exposure in LA.  I met a great group of artists and the evening was memorable.  I have been taking the steps to submitting my art in different shows in California.  I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to show my art to many people.

I want to thank Kaila Yu for coordinating the show and to LookBookLA for exposure.  The event had many artists including dancing,
make up, mixed media, 2 fashion shows,
music with dj's and soft rock, and a diverse
variety of paintings and drawings.  Each
art show I attend moves me to produce
more of an effort to create and paint.

My observation of people looking at my art was
Jon Nelson
interesting and moving.  I felt like people were
Jon & Manny
connecting to it in different ways.  Listening to
LA ADVENTURE SKYLINE
their comments of describing colors and images
SLATE
was inspiring.  As I look back now, I know that my art has a connection with people.  Each person had their own feeling of how the colors and objects connected within them.  I had a lot of positive feedback that my art is loud, bright, energetic, inspirational, and moving.  As an artist  I feel that is important to hear.

I also want to thank the friends that came out to the show and showed their support, I truly am thankful to have such supportive friends.  I am currently working on my art to keep inspiring people .  Art is a big part of my life and communicating with others.  Art is a connection to all of us and I am excited to work on a few new projects that are exciting and inspirational to others around me.  Thank you for taking the time to read this and supporting my art.  JN
